Katu women from Salavan Province in Southern Laos, practice backstrap loom weaving with an ancient style of decoration involving glass beads in the warp of the weave. This cloth is traditionally used for special occasions with certain patterns and designs available only from their family. You will learn to weave on the backstrap loom. Weave 1 belt or 1 camera strap. |
